Political Writings in Research-Creation
Is it possible to end the opposition between research and creation? This book seeks to explore the potential of research-creation when it is conducted by people from minority groups or who are interested in different kinds of marginalities. The texts discuss rape culture, mental health, chronic pain, issues of class, racialization, sexuality, and whiteness, in a variety of forms that are unique to research-creation. Friendship is posed as an interdisciplinary issue, one that "cuts across everything" and allows for the decompartmentalization of experiences of minimization and marginalization.

Nicholas Dawson est éditeur et écrivain. La famille, les lieux, la mémoire, les subjectivités, ainsi que les théories queer et les études postcoloniales, sont au centre de ses préoccupations artistiques et universitaires.
Marie-Claude Garneau est la co-directrice de la collection de théâtre “La Nef” chez Remue-ménage et doctorante en lettres françaises. Ses domaines d’études incluent la dramaturgie féministe, les théories critiques et féministes, le théâtre des femmes, le théâtre québécois, la recherche-création et la sociocritique.
Nicholas Dawson is an editor and writer. Family, place, memory, subjectivities, as well as queer theories and postcolonial studies are at the center of his artistic and academic concerns.
Marie-Claude Garneau is the co-director of the theater collection “La Nef” at Remue-ménage and a doctoral student in French literature. She is interested in feminist dramaturgy, critical and feminist theories, women's theater, Quebec theater, research-creation and sociocriticism.
